A student at the University of Texas and member of UT's Campus Coalition for Peace and Justice, was assaulted by a police officer last spring while publicizing for Day X.  He was slammed into a wall while he was chalking on the sidewalk by an officer who snuck up behind him.  This activist and two other students were arrested.  In recent times, Police have enforced an anti-chalking policy at the university specifically for actions voicing contempt with the war in Iraq, making the incident politically motivated.
